We rode to St. Louis to see the arch. We were told to buy our tickets in this Old Courthouse
The Hyatt and Ruths Chris were just across the street.

After waiting for an hour you crawl through these small 2’x4’ doors and ride to the top of the arch. Takes 4 min to go up and only 3 to get back down.
Our guide. Basically he just told us to not bump our heads on the door and not to take pictures of him. I did both!

Just in case you were wondering how tall the arch is. About 60’ wide at the base and 17’ wide at the top.

Needing food we stopped here. Has been in business here for over 100 years. Building was last remodeled in 1945. Food was average at best.
I don’t think I have ever visited a better historical site.
Grants Farm

The farm was a very peaceful place
You’ve seen these before, on a commercial. This is where the famous Clydesdale horses pull the beer wagon through the gates.
A very unique fence. All of the vertical post are rifle barrels from the civil war.
