We visited the Quigley Castle today
Mrs Quigley loved rocks and started collecting them in earnest when she was nine years old.
Her husband was a bottle collector and she made several bottle trees from his collection.
Built in 1943 it went the first three years without any glass in the windows because of the shortage during the war.
The Arkansas rocks don’t have any color to them. They are most quartz, crystal, and diamonds. She had to go out of state to find the colored ones.
She spent three years covering the outside of the house all from her collection. Then she built all of the other little rock sculptures.
Inside were these old hornet nest.
The kitchen
Living and dining area
Upstairs bedrooms, nice quilt
The house is built with two separate foundations separated by four feet. There are many tropical plants growing in that 4’ gap that grow from the ground to the top of the second floor.
Another of the three upstairs bedrooms
Called the butterfly wall
Some of them are moths
They were all pretty
Old double barrel shotgun
Some kind of Black powder rifle
Another smaller one
Some kind of grinder

Like Eve, Sherm told me to partake of this fruit
I did…and it was
…very good!
They had an Eleanor here too
Not sure why all of this was connected to the outhouse
We got away
read the sign to learn more
Nice greenhouse
We then rode down to the War Eagle Mill
An old but still in operation grist mill
This old bridge had a wooden deck. I had to ride over it just for fun.
