These stairs lead down from the highway to the river with a little information plaque at each landing. I read each and every one…yeah, right!

We rode up to the top of the dome and took a few pictures. We met a bear on the way up.

From this distance it doesn’t look too bad, but up close you can see the massive tailing piles it has left behind.
This is a vast, vast, vast land! It just seems to go forever.
Someone built a neat bench here. It was actually very comfortable.
It’s a good life!
This was highly recommended by two separate locals as being the best place in town to eat. Personally, it was terrible! Yes, that is terrible with an exclamation mark!
However, we had breakfast here the next day, and it was the best breakfast we have had on the trip.
Dawson City sits right on the Yukon River.
It is an old mining town that is still very active.
I was walking outside and heard what I thought was a player piano. After stepping inside I saw this gentleman playing as well as I have ever heard the keys tickled.
Some of the building have stood the test of time.
