We crossed into Canada at 8:30AM. I don’t know if it was his beady eyes, or the fact that he blew through the red light that keeps you from advancing until the customs agents are ready for you, but Tim was singled out for a thorough inspection. It took the custom agents 15 minutes to respectfully go through his things and remove all of the illegal stuff, but it took Tim another two hours to put it back.
An hour into Canada and we came across this lake and sign.
The mouth of the river is much wider than the lake.
Just showing off the pretty blue bike and ugly red one. :)
We entered the park from the Radium Hot Springs route. The people coming out of those hot pools sure had a funny glow to them.
From this entrance, our first stop was Lake Louise and it’s grand hotel.
One of the most beautiful setting you will ever find, but lighting made if difficult to capture today.
That is until we added something to brighten it up!
There were a lot of people out rowing today.
I just hope they aren’t in a Tippy Canoe
The overflow from the lake.
I think Tim was enjoying the view.
Near the upper reaches of the park, the lakes had not completely thawed.
It just added another beauty to the picture.
This guy was having a good day!
Looks like Fonzy was too.
Even my bike was having a good day
Tim’s bike, not so much. :)
Worse than a woman! Has to color co-ordinate his outfit to his luggage.
Enough already!
So many mountains
So many different shapes.
Only a couple of miles from the frozen one.
Hey Mark, I told you I would hunt that critter down that scratched your bike. I found him.
This is after I roughed him up!
Tim going the wrong way. :)
The photo doesn’t even get close to doing this justice.
View from above
Same view close up
Nice snow field
Just outside the pitstop. :)
Came across these bighorn sheep.
They weren’t too concerned.
In fact, none of the animals in the park were.
Okay buddy, why don’t we just take a little nap here on the road.
Tangle Falls
I think she is someones pet
They will be mad when they find that she got out of her kennel.
Several caribou in this area.
Some were just posers.
Some were just browsers
Rocky Mountain High
Not too much competition for food when you stand this close to the edge.
