Big great granddaughter number 2 is ready for her ride.
A little earlier start so more to see
For some reason she didn’t want to stand up on walk on that walk with the ten thousand foot vertical drop like her sister did.
Stevens Canyon is a very deep and very narrow slot canyon cut in solid rock
I think you would need an air bag suit to survive a float trip down this stretch of water.
You can hear it before you see it.
We watched it for quite a while
Checking out the local topography
Checking out the photographer, lol
Deciding whether to start on the big end or the little end
I’ll just go with the normal way
I might need a refill before I get this down
Before today, I didn’t know that these were real!
But, there it is in black and white and color!
Go ahead and read it for yourseld and you’ll be a believer too.
A nice short hike along the troll trail
Somebody else was taking in the view too.
That water’s not messing around.
Same canyon, another angle. Still impressive.
Found the troll. Bigger than advertised.
Getting a little too close for comfort, if you ask me.
Sitting right in his hand. He didn’t seem to mind.
Still there. Still fine with it.
Having a staring contest with a concrete troll. She lost.
That’s a nose and a half.
Turns out there’s a whole story behind him. Read the plaque if you don’t believe me.
He’s got the thousand-yard stare down pretty well for a pile of concrete.
I think she’d had enough of the troll by this point.
Down the trail a ways, somebody built a giant turtle too.
Turns out there’s a whole trail of this stuff. Troll, giants, mushrooms, daffodils. We didn’t see it all.
Wandering on past the flower beds.
Good advice, and a fitting way in.
One more look on the way out.
That’s the last we saw of him. Kept the same face the whole time.
